MOTO, short for Mail Order Telephone Order pertains to transactions (credit/debit card, ACH, e-check) where the customer makes his or her purchase by Mail Order, Telephone Order (MOTO), Facsimile, or via the Internet instead of being physically present at the merchant’s location.
